9 employees (SR/CSR) fired without notice at Japan Tobacco International port territory overnight. On Tuesday morning, the employees of the said office staged a protest against the position of S.R./C.S.R.A. The sacked employees blamed JTI but the authorities denied it.

Several SRs/CSRs of JTI Marketing complained that some of the company's unscrupulous agents are secretly selling their products of various bands in the market at 30% lower than the market price to meet their targets. The wholesalers are not buying the products from vans and cycles of the company as these bands are available at low prices. The SR/CSR target cannot be met. Notifying the authorities is not yielding any result.

SR said on the condition of anonymity, Navy Cigarette Company's price is 2000 1200 taka, it is available in the market for 1155 taka, so we are not able to sell it. We are asked to sell under market price from our own pocket and achieve the target. Where will we get so much money? If you can't sell it, abuse it. The salary is only ten thousand rupees. There is a monthly incentive that does not pay properly, three thousand rupees actually gives two thousand rupees. Thus oppresses us.

JTI Bandartila Territory Executive Officer Kazi Imtiaz denied all these allegations and said about the dismissal, they are not employees of JTI, they work under the distributor.
